Our lampshades are handmade in Sweden, from start to finished lamp. The frames of the lampshades are welded with an experienced hand in a small workshop not far from us. There, they are powder-coated in an oven with the highest quality paint on the market. In the kindest way for both the craftsman and our nature.
Organic cotton
All cotton fabrics in our lampshades are organic and GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard). This means that the entire manufacturing process, from cotton cultivation to the sale of the finished fabric, is controlled and fair.
According to GOTS, the cotton must not be artificially fertilized, and no chemicals are permitted in either cultivation or processing. All dyes used must be approved, and no chlorine bleaching is allowed. When the fabrics are packed and shipped, no packaging containing PVC plastics may be used. Furthermore, GOTS sets requirements for working conditions, wages, and social circumstances for those who work in the production of the fabrics.
